SUPPORT

Something off? A person reads every message.

No ticket numbers and no chat bot: the app is made by one developer, and mail arrives straight to them — usually answered within a couple of days. The questions that come up most often are answered below.

English, Ukrainian or Russian — whichever is easier for you. Bug reports, questions and feature requests all land in the same inbox.

What is this about

The message goes to the developer's inbox and is not stored anywhere. No analytics, no mailing list.

  • The phone and its Android versionSettings → About phone on the device
  • What happenedwhat you did, and what the app did instead — a screenshot says it faster

QUICK ANSWERS

The eight questions that arrive most often

  • The camera will not read my card

Come closer, flatten the angle, and use the flashlight button in the scanner. Whatever the code does, the number can be typed in by hand — the app checks its length, character set and check digit as you go.

  • The till scanner refuses my screen

The card sheet already pushes brightness to maximum. If the glass is scratched or the protector is matte, hold the phone flatter — or read the number out loud; it is printed under the code for that reason.

  • I paid for Pro, and it is still locked

Settings → Cardfold Pro → Restore purchase, signed in with the Google account that paid. If it stays locked, write to us with the order number from the Google Play receipt.

  • How do I move cards to a new phone?

Settings → Backup → Export writes one JSON file and opens the share sheet — send it to yourself. On the new phone: Settings → Backup → Import, pick the file, confirm the replacement.

  • The app lock asks for a screen lock first

The lock leans on the phone's own PIN, pattern or biometrics — the app has no password of its own, on purpose. Set a screen lock in system settings, then turn the app lock on.

  • Expiry reminders never arrive

Check that notifications are allowed for Cardfold and that battery saving is not holding it back. The reminder fires a week before the last day, and only for cards that carry a date.

  • The map stays grey

The place picker is the one screen that needs a connection, for the map tiles. On a weak signal give it a moment, or add the place later — the card works perfectly without one.

  • A card has gone missing

Check whether a category chip or the search field is still filtering the list. If the list really is short, import your latest backup: Settings → Backup → Import.
