Your loyalty cards live on your phone. Nowhere else.

Cardfold keeps every loyalty card on the phone. Scan the barcode once, show it at the till — no account, no cloud, no analytics. Cards leave the device only in a backup you export yourself.

STEP ONE

Scan the card once, keep it forever

Point the camera at the barcode on the back of the card — the number and the code format fill themselves in.

  • The camera recognises 13 code types
  • Prefer typing? Length, character set and the check digit are all validated as you go
  • A live preview shows the card exactly as it will look in the list

AT THE TILL

One tap, and the screen does the talking

Tap a card and a sheet opens with the code drawn large, while the screen turns its brightness up to maximum. The scanner reads it on the first try.

  • Brightness goes back to your system setting the moment you close the card
  • Copy the number or open the card for editing straight from the sheet
  • PDF417, Aztec and Data Matrix are stored too — their number is shown in large type to read out to the cashier

YOUR LOOK

Every card looks like itself

Twelve card colours, or any photo from your library as a cover. The text colour is computed from contrast, so the name stays readable on dark and light backgrounds alike.

Hold a card and drag it up — your everyday one stays on top.

ORDER

Thirty cards, and still the right one in two seconds

Cards sit in sections you can name yourself, search finds them by shop or by number, and a long press drags the everyday one to the top.

  • Seven categories out of the box — and your own on top of them
  • Search by name or by number; the chips above the list narrow it as you type
  • A last day on a card shows as a badge, with a reminder a week before it passes

PLACE

The card of the shop you are standing in

Pin a card to a shop on the map, and it comes forward in the list when you are back there. Only a point is stored, on this device — no address, no shop name, nothing looked up anywhere.

  • The map is the one thing fetched from outside — and only while you are picking the point
  • Foreground only: no geofences, no background location, no service running behind your back
  • The point can be dropped by hand or taken from where you are standing

AND THE REST

Small things that keep it out of your way

Exporting and importing a backup

A backup that is yours

Export puts every card and its cover into a single JSON file and opens the system share sheet. Import restores the set on a new phone — and says how many cards the file holds before it replaces anything.

Themes and languages

Coffee and Cobalt are free, Pro adds Forest, Amethyst and Rose — each in light and dark, every text pair checked against WCAG AA contrast. English, Ukrainian and Russian; theme and language can follow the system.

Honest about permissions

The camera is used only to scan a barcode — without the permission the app still works and you type the number. Photos are asked for only when you pick a cover, location only while the list is open.

FORMATS

Ten code formats, drawn on screen

The camera reads thirteen types of code. Ten of them the app draws itself, sharp at any screen size.

  • QR
  • Code 128
  • Code 39
  • Code 93
  • EAN-13
  • EAN-8
  • UPC-A
  • UPC-E
  • ITF-14
  • Codabar

Cards with PDF417, Aztec and Data Matrix are stored too — for those the number is shown in large type, so you can read it out to the cashier.

CARD HOLDER PRO

One payment. Yours for good.

The free app keeps ten cards in two themes, and everything about them works for ever. Pro lifts that ceiling and opens what sits behind it — once, on this device, with no subscription and no account.

PRIVACY, NOT AS A PROMISE

No accounts. No cloud. No analytics.

Stored on the phone

Cards live in local storage on the device. There is no server behind the app, and nothing to sync.

Leaves only by your hand

The one way data leaves the phone is a backup you export yourself, into a file you choose.

Nothing to opt out of

No ads, no trackers, no background work — and no account to delete afterwards.

FAQ

Questions people actually ask

  • Does it need the internet?

The cards do not. Everything about them works in airplane mode; the only thing fetched from outside is the map, and only while you are picking a place for a card.

  • What if the camera cannot read a card?

Type the number in by hand. The app checks the length, the character set and the check digit, and tells you when something does not add up.

  • How do I move my cards to a new phone?

Export a backup into a single JSON file and save or send it wherever you like, then import that file on the new phone.

  • What happens to my data?

Nothing happens to it. No accounts, no analytics, no ads — the cards sit in local storage on the phone and leave only through a backup you make yourself.

  • Is it free?

Ten cards in two colour themes are free for ever. Pro is a single payment — no subscription, nothing to cancel — and it lifts the limit along with covers, categories, expiry dates, places and the app lock.

  • Can I use it on a second phone?

Yes. The cards travel in a backup file you export and import yourself, and the Pro purchase is restored through the store account that bought it.

Your cards. Your phone. Nothing else.

Cardfold is free, works offline, and asks you for nothing — not even an email address.
